Challenge
Presented to a combined cohort of Strategic Design (Poli.Design) and Bussiness Innovation (Antwerp Management School) P&G’s worries, that the emergence of autonomous cleaning robots was going to cannibalise their presence in the cleaning product industry. The question was: how could P&G be a part of this future scenario?
Vision
P&G custom products for supplying restaurant robots with cleaning supplies in the future.
Process
To develop further on the scenario that P&G presented us, we conducted a U-Model trend analysis. From this information we reconstructed the scenario. This analysis shaped our forecasts: autonomous robots will be much more effective in a restaurant setting then at home & that increasingly less meals would be prepared at home. The concequence being, a dramatically increasing demand on the restaurant industry.
Result
As such, we suggested a PSS for supplying restaurants of all sizes with cleaning supplies using a scalable subscription based model. We harnessed emerging technologies and integrated sustainable practices to deliver a succinct and effective proposal. By adapting now, we convincingly suggested that they would be capable of pivoting and avoiding cannibilisation in this future scenario.
